INVITATION TO ATTEND
Dear Colleague:
The OSGi Alliance is pleased to invite you to its 4th Annual 2005
Developer
Forum & World Congress, October 11-14 at the Intercontinental Hotel in
Paris France.
The last twelve months have seen OSGi technology continue to gain momentum in
the Mobile, Telematics, and Digital Home markets. At this year’s
event, our focus will be on Release 4 of the OSGi Service Platform, and
the business, technological, and development implications of this release.
The Developer Forum (October 11-12) targets individuals and companies who want
learn about OSGi technology and how the OSGi Service Platform provides a
development environment for new applications and services. Conducted by the
world's experts in their field, this Forum will focus on Release 4 of
the OSGi Service Platform and its intersection from a development and
technology perspective with J2EE, J2ME, OSCAR, Eclipse, CDC, CDLC, MIDP,
MobileJava, and .NET. With a combination of global experts, focused
on 'how to' not just 'what is', the OSGi Alliance Developer Forum is a must
attend for independent software developers and large and small organizations
alike. The event promises to deliver 2-full days of cutting edge content
through presentations, panels, and hands-on demonstrations.
The 4th Annual World Congress (October 13-14) will highlight how the new
release delivers business value to the Mobile, Telematics, and
Digital Home markets. Featuring plenary sessions, breakouts, and Town Hall
panels, the Congress will highlight:
-
The spread of OSGi technology around the world
-
How OSGi User Forums are proliferating OSGi-based solutions in their
regions
-
Perspectives on the business models driving the adoption of OSGi technology
-
First hand insights into how organizations are using OSGi technology to
develop incremental revenue and profit pools.
We will feature the evolving ‘Open OSGi’ ecosystem and the disruptive or
greenfield business implications of this movement. And we will take a look at
the emerging applications and volume markets where OSGi solutions are the
basis for opportunistic growth.
Previous OSGi Alliance events have drawn hundreds of senior executives,
developers, and users from 70 countries around the world. I invite you to be a
part of this exciting event so you can learn and network with industry
leaders. I look forward to seeing you in Paris this October.
Sincerely,

John R. Barr, Ph.D.
President, OSGi Alliance
